The Burning Maiden is an anthology published in print and digital editions biennially by our few (but mighty) staff here at Evileye Books. And it’s a paying market, so that’s always a good thing.
It’s also the site you’re visiting at this moment, where, over time, we hope to share with you literary nonfiction prose and other goodies on a regular basis. So, bookmark us; you might like what’s coming.
The Burning Maiden aims to present writing that challenges preconceived notions of literary prose and verse that play in the dark corners of the supernatural and horror genres. For a deep dive into this idea, please read “The Blurred Line,” the introduction to volume one, and which can be found in its own page on this site.
If you like where we are headed with this, and would like to submit your work to The Burning Maiden for consideration, please take a few minutes to read through our Submissions page.
